Home Performance Program
Home Performance Program
Reduce your energy costs, make your home more comfortable and get up to $10,000 in rebates for eligible home improvements.
Don’t Miss Out! Rebate Offer Ends Dec. 31, 2026.
For a discounted price of $100, a Building Performance Institute-certified (BPI) home energy expert will evaluate your homes’ heating and cooling systems, insulation and windows. They’ll also conduct a blower door test to find air leaks that could be costing you money and making your home drafty. You’ll learn how to save on energy costs year-round and receive up to $10,000 in rebates for eligible home improvements.
How it works:

Step 1: Schedule Your Audit
Find a participating contractor and schedule your audit.

Step 2: Make Recommended Improvements
You’ll receive a report with recommended energy-efficient home improvements, project costs and estimated yearly energy savings. Choose which upgrades you want to invest in and have the work completed.

Step 3: Get Your Rebate
Once the improvements are complete, a final blower door test will estimate your home’s energy savings and determine your rebate amount. Rebates equal 75% of eligible improvement costs, up to a maximum of $10,000 per home. See the rebate Terms and Conditions here.
Save even more with the Switch-to-Electric Program
Home Performance Program participants may be eligible for additional incentives when converting heating and water heating equipment from oil, gas or propane to cleaner, high-efficiency electric systems. Additional incentives include up to $14,500 for eligible HVAC equipment and home performance upgrades, plus up to $3,000 for electrical make-ready updates.*

*HVAC equipment must be installed by a participating HVAC contractor to be eligible for discounted pricing. Discounts are available to Maryland residential customers of Potomac Edison on qualified products purchased through December 31, 2026.
Potomac Edison, their parents, subsidiaries, employees, affiliates and agents assume no responsibility for the performance of the equipment or equipment warranty, the quality of the work, labor and/or materials supplied, and/or the acts or omissions of any contractor. Incentive amounts are subject to change and available while funding lasts.
