If you’re converting your water heater or heating system from oil, gas or propane to a cleaner, high-efficiency electric system, you could be eligible for additional incentives!

  • Homes that use oil, natural gas or propane for heating or water heating are eligible.

  • HVAC and water heating equipment that run on fossil fuels (oil, propane and natural gas) are eligible through the Switch-to-Electric Program.

  • No, the Switch-to-Electric Program is offering lower incentives for doing “partial” fuel switching by going to a hybrid heat pump system (a heat pump that retains your fossil fuel heat as a back-up heat source).

  • Step 1: Schedule a home energy audit with a participating contractor. Discuss your opportunities with the Energy Auditor who conducts the service.

    Step 2: After receiving your report with recommended energy-efficient home improvements, work with one of our participating contractors to evaluate which systems would work best for your needs.

  • Contact a participating HVAC contractor for further details on available incentives to enjoy energy savings for your home. Equipment must be installed by a participating HVAC contractor to be eligible.

  • Yes, Potomac Edison is offering up to $3,000 to assist homeowners with qualifying electrical upgrades (called “Make-Ready” incentives). This may include electrical panel upgrades, new electrical circuits, additional outlets and disconnects, and more.

  • Our participating contractors know which upgrades qualify for these incentives. Contact a participating contractor for more information.

Potomac Edison, their parents, subsidiaries, employees, affiliates and agents assume no responsibility for the performance of the equipment or equipment warranty, the quality of the work, labor and/or materials supplied, and/or the acts or omissions of any contractor. Incentive amounts are subject to change and available while funding lasts.
